This model was presented to public on the 24th June, 2009 in Paris at a gala night and the first time of The Duel Film about two famous persons. The first one Steve McQueen – a famous actor who starred a film about F1 race and an enthusiastic popularize of auto racing in Hollywood. The second one is Hamilton Lewis, the youngest ever Formula One World Champion. Steve Mcqueen about 40 years ago wore a revolutionary for that time Tag Heuer watch in the famous Le Man film. Hamilton, probably will present the Monaco LS Chronograph.
The new model is based on Monaco V4 and Monaco Calibre 360 LS. This is a simpler version that “inherited” from its predecessors design of the dial including seconds indicator at 3 o’clock position. In this model the power reserve indicator is replaced by date window at 12 o’clock. There is a chronograph accumulator at 12 o’clock position and a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock position. All these functions are provided by the automatic TAG Caliber 12 that is based on Dubois-Depraz 2008.
The case of the watch is made out of polished and brushed stainless steel, the diameter is 40,5 mm. The watch has anti-reflective sapphire-crystals. Water resistance is up to 100 meters.
